THE BEAT GOES ON
In response to my diagnosis I have started a project called The Beat Goes On. I have submitted my application to the Arts Council for 8 days R&D which will take place in May at The Bunker Theatre, London. My goal is to tour the piece to theatres in the UK. Raising awareness and changing perceptions of heart conditions, and offering support for those who have recently been diagnosed/are living with similar conditions.

I RETURNED TO WHITLEY BAY AGAIN THIS TIME FOR ALADDIN 2016-2017
'The excellent Rebecca Shorrocks returns, this time as half of an inept police double act with her real-life comedy partner - and husband - Paul F Taylor. The pair take every opportunity to milk the laughs with routines with slapstick at their heart.' The Chronicle

SNOW WHITE 2015-2016
"Rebecca Shorrocks as Muddles’ equally dumb sidekick Odd Job was exceptional."
Sunderland Echo/Hartlepool Mail
"Adding to the children’s entertainment is a very talented Rebecca Shorrocks as the daft and friendly Odd Job. In not always reading the situation right, Rebecca frequently gave everyone someone to laugh with. The Whitley Bay crowd seemed to have a significant younger element of children in compared to other panto’s and it is important that they had jokes they could enjoy."
North East Theatre Guide
"Special mentions have to be given to Rebecca Shorrocks as Oddjob whose comedy acting had both adults and kids laughing."
North East Family Fun
"Muddles’ silly younger brother, Odd Job (Rebecca Shorrocks), was also a standout character as the pair shared a bickering dynamic perfect for a family show."
Chronicle Live
"Rebecca Shorrocks is the final cast member to announce for this year’s production. Another star returning to the venue by popular demand, Rebecca played both Le Shue and The Candlestick in last year’s pantomime to an array of rave reviews...A spokeswoman from The playhouse said the venue ‘is ecstatic to once again, welcome Rebecca back to the venue for her role as Oddjob in 2015".

MY DEBUT PANTO "BEAUTY & THE BEAST" PLAYHOUSE WHITLEY BAY 2014-2015
"Rebecca Shorrocks shines as both Le Shue and the Candlestick, grabbing both roles and making the best of them."
The British Theatre Guide
"The entire cast are wonderful, but a couple of other stand out performances this year come from Jeremy Edwards as Gaston and Rebecca Shorrocks as Le Shue - they work particularly well together as a double act, and spark off each other nicely... Rebecca Shorrocks not only plays La Shue, but also Candlestick, and inhabits both roles completely (it took me a while to be sure it was the same person) - it was no surprise for me to read in the programme that outside of panto-land she's a character comic."
